Statues of Jesus as a wise, brilliantly-dressed child were seen everywhere at Immaculate Conception (Delta) and Our Lady of Good Counsel parishes this month.

The communities were celebrating the Feast of Santo Nino, a unique cultural event observed widely in the Philippines. Festive events at both parishes included Mass, a meal, and dancing, as well as a chance to bring private statues of Santo Nino from home to be blessed.

Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish has hosted celebrations for this occasion for 30 years.
