Marian Procession in Chilliwack

St. Mary’s Parish in Chilliwack celebrated the Blessed Virgin’s birthday (Sept. 8) with a Marian procession. Nearly 100 people attended, and a decade of the Rosary was said for various parish petitions, including the parish community, St. Mary’s Elementary school, community members who couldn’t attend for health reasons, and the parish building project. The event ended with a party and birthday cake. (Photos Lori Johnson)  


First Anniversary of the Sto. Nino Shrine 

The first anniversary of the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Santo Nino De Cebu in Agassiz was marked by a 10-day celebration, which included a picnic and procession honouring the Sto. Nino. The opening Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Miller, and the closing Mass was celebrated by Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma, who flew in for the event. Statues of the Filipino Saint Pedro Calungsod and Saint Kateri Tekawitha were enthroned at the shrine as well. (Submitted photos)
