There’s a bright future ahead for Raul Pinol, says St. John Brebeuf Secondary.

The Grade 11 student has just returned from an annual National Science Fair in Ottawa. He was one of only 500 students chosen out of 500,000 teens across the country sent to this high-level competition.

As it turns out, his project on the condensation of water using geothermal energy was a success. His winnings included an award for the Best Environmental Engineering Project, an all-expense-paid trip to develop his project further at the University of Waterloo, and scholarships to the University of Ottawa and Carlton University.

"The future is bright for young Pinol," said the school’s Anne Fronteddu. “With so many fabulous opportunities and resources now at his fingertips, we anxiously wait to see his future unfold, and somehow know, this is just the beginning for this ambitious teen.”
