Sister celebrates 60 years of religious life

NORTH VANCOUVER—Vancouver-born Sister Giovanna Davis is celebrating 60 years since she made her first vows as a Sister of the Child Jesus in 1957.

"The Sisters of the Child Jesus are grateful, Giovanna, that God called you to be one of us, and that you responded wholeheartedly to that call."

Sister Davis celebrated the milestone with dozens of fellow sisters and friends with Mass and a renewal of vows at St. Paul's Indian Catholic Church Aug. 19.
