Three Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco from Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Surrey have renewed their vows of chastity, poverty, and obedience.

Sister Joyce Bermejo, Sister April Cabaccang, and Sister Hae Jin Lim were among 12 temporary professed sisters to give their joyful β€œyes” to God for another season. Sisters Bermejo and Cabaccang made their vows for one year, and Sister Lim for two. For Sister Lim, these will be the last temporary vows she makes before, God-willing, making perpetual vows in 2021.

Sister Bermejo is currently serving at Nativite de Marie in Cornwall, Ont., Sister Cabaccang at St. John Neumann Catholic High School in Naples, Fla., and Sister Lim at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Surrey, B.C.

The Salesians were founded by St. John Bosco and St. Mary Mazzarello in 1871 in Italy. They currently number 12,000 sisters in 98 countries and serve at-risk women and youth. More information about the Salesians is at www.salesians.org or by contacting Sister Hae-Jin Lim.
