Although parish activities and meetings have been cancelled in recent days due to fears of the spread of COVID-19, the pro-life activism of 40 Days for Life goes on.

The outdoor rally involves groups of people taking shifts to pray and hold pro-life signs in front of the B.C. Women’s Hospital for 40 days.

At a mid-point event March 15, Jared White of Advokate arrived to encourage participants about the power of prayer and the importance of supporting crisis pregnancy centres. About 30 people arrived for the occasion.

“Stadiums and churches may close down, but you can be sure the abortion clinics remain open,” during the COVID-19 outbreak, said White.

“As long as they are open, our pregnancy care centres must also remain open to provide loving alternatives for those who feel abortion is their only choice.”
