Recently the Vatican declared the Catholic Church cannot bless same-sex unions. The reason is very simple, the Holy See said: “God does not bless sin.”

It has nothing to do with homophobia or intolerance, but with divine law. He created the human male and female sexes, commanding them to “grow and multiply.” It was the only union acceptable in his eyes. In his wisdom, he endowed upon them the means to achieve this end and laws governing it.

Most of us understand that the Catholic Church is a theocracy and not a democracy. Its laws come from God, unlike those of human governments whose laws change to the whims and influences of society.

I was educated in the Catholic school system and remember the first day of school Sister Theresa telling us that God is infinitely good and will always be there for us. He will never give us more than we can endure.

At the beginning of COVID, when I first heard about China not being able to control the virus, deep inside I said close the borders of the world, came inside and locked the door behind me. I then asked God to help me through the crisis and I would do everything in my power to keep myself safe for as long as it took.

I turned on the TV and have kept it on ever since. Nobody comes in and I don’t go out, even to pick up my mail. I pay someone to do that for me. Because of problems with “mask wearing” and due to my age (70) and a low immune system, the virus would jump on me like mosquitoes.

There have been many ups and downs. The downs came in the form of seizures re-asserting themselves after many years and causing falls and broken bones and severe headaches and pain.

Twice when the pain was so strong I banged my head on the walls. Suddenly something or someone made me stop, take a deep breath, and think of the word “GOD.”

The pain suddenly stopped as I was enveloped in a general wellbeing, a warmth I had never felt. I felt surrounded by some kind of halo that lasted a few glorious minutes.

Now if this is not divine intervention through the special help of my Guardian Angel …

I am sharing this because I saw Archbishop Miller on TV, not happy about the closuring of the churches.

One does not need to worship in a church to be heard by God. COVID-19 is a way for God to test our strength of character and nature to re-arrange the world, people, and their environment.

I could say more about life, depression, and suicide. I am sad for not having children or now grandchildren, but I read in the Bible last year that God has a special place in heaven for us.

A deep thank you for your time. I haven’t talked to someone in over a year.

Muslim women held in Chinese detainment camps are being gang-raped, and Prime Minister Trudeau says nothing. Trudeau is allegedly Catholic and a feminist, yet he remains silent, abstaining with his MPs from the motion put forth by Conservatives to call out China’s Muslim genocide.
