My grandfather and three-year-old cousin are both buried in unmarked graves in a cemetery in Prince Albert, Sask. Their families were very poor and could not afford funeral or burial expenses. About 15 years later, in the early 1960s, we went with my aunt to the cemetery where her father and daughter were buried. We were directed to the area of unmarked graves.

It was sad and disappointing, but we understood why the graves could not be found. There are probably many, many other unmarked graves of poor people whose families are grateful that their loved ones are buried in a cemetery.

Thank you for the June 14 letters by John Bueno & Anton (Tony) Gazdik. They made my day with their wonderful thoughts about ongoing reconciliation. Every Catholic should read your articles.

This is just a short note to congratulate you all on the recent awards for The B.C. Catholic. We look forward weekly to receiving and reading the paper. It always provides good, solid Catholic news on many different and diverse subjects.  Keep up the good work.
