VANCOUVER—Little Flower Academy student Michelle Rodrigues has received the first place award for the B.C. Law Society Secondary School Essay Contest.

Rodrigues, enrolled in Law 12, addressed the prompt “how does social media interact with the rule of law?”

According to the B.C. Law Society, this annual and province-wide essay contest “reaffirm[s] the significance rule of law” and encourages students to “participate actively in civic life.”

Because of her winning entry, Rodrigues was invited to speak at an awards presentation event in July at the Law Society in Vancouver.
