This statue of the Immaculate Heart of Mary was one of six blessed by Pope Francis and given the title "International Centennial Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Fatima." It was taken to St. Francis Xavier church July 4. (Photos by Clement Cheng / Special to The B.C. Catholic).

Father Joseph Ly said 700 Catholics attended the event, which included Mass, a Marian procession, adoration, and a reflection on the apparitions at Fatima.

This statue of Our Lady was also seen at special events at Immaculate Conception (Delta), St. Pius X, Our Lady of Good Counsel, St. Mary's (Vancouver), and St. Paul's (North Vancouver) parishes in July.

This year marks 100 years since the apparitions at Fatima.
