With the rapid spread of the coronavirus there is fear and paranoia everywhere, justified in view of the thousands of deaths all over the world and especially in Italy where at least 50 priests have died. What a blow to a Church that needs more vocations.

Obviously, the devil must be so pleased with all this chaos, especially with the closing of most churches and the absence of Eucharistic celebrations. So it is imperative that what we need now is more and more prayer and penance and above all faith and trust in God. He is in charge and we have to surrender it all to him. He will take care of everything in his own time, but it will happen. Do not lose hope.

This is a time to get closer to Jesus. If you have been away, please come back to him and transform this evil into a great good. May God bless us all.

I believe plans should be made (or permitted) for ticketed and controlled access to chapels, Masses, and the sacraments at the discretion of individual priests and parishes.

We can still go to grocery stores for food to feed the flesh; how much more do we need access to spiritual food. Christus Vincit!
