SURREY—Gardens of Gethsemani, a Catholic cemetery in Surrey, has just built and dedicated a new gazebo to Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Deacon Ken Fung blessed the structure Sept. 30 during the cemetery’s annual open house. Recent expansions on the site also include a Jesus and the Children Garden and a Stations of the Cross walk.
Catholic Cemeteries Director Peter Nobes said the organization strives to provide resources for people grieving the death of a loved one.
“Our ministry is the same as the overall ministry of the Church,” he told The B.C. Catholic. “We’re all called to help people to healing, offer salvation, and help them have hope, which is the resurrection story.”
