Our Lady of Mercy school is congratulating its three volleyball teams for making school history.

All three teams made it to playoffs against other teams from the Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese, and for the first time all three advanced to the quarterfinals.

Athletic director Chinh Nguyen said the Grade 7 senior girls’ team played “unbelievably” well in the finals and came out on top in a “thrilling finish” to Our Lady of Mercy school’s first championship Nov. 5.

“A huge congratulations to our senior volleyball team for being the 2019-2020 CISVA Champions!”
