The Third Luminous Mystery of the Rosary is the “Proclamation of the Kingdom of God,” the basic message of the gospel.

The Catechism states: “Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, and saying: ‘The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent, and believe in the gospel.’”

“To carry out the will of the Father Christ inaugurated the kingdom of heaven on earth.” Now the Father’s will is “to raise up men to share in his own divine life.” He does this by gathering men around his Son Jesus Christ. This gathering is the Church, “on earth the seed and beginning of that kingdom.”

“Water,” “bread” and the “cross” are some of the important themes in the public ministry of Christ.

Christ called fishermen – Simon, Andrew, James and John – to be his disciples and to become “fishers of men.” 

Christ told Nicodemus: “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” (Jn 3:5) 

He told the Samaritan woman: “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (Jn 4:14)

Christ miraculously fed the five thousand with five breads. He later declared “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” (Jn 6:35)

Christ warned his disciples: “Watch out; beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.” (Mk 8:15)

Christ predicted his Passion three times and said, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” (Mt 16:24)

Christian doctrine can be divided into dogma, moral teaching, and worship. Our Lord sums up these three things in the words: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” (Jn 14:6). Christ is the truth that we must believe, the way that we must follow, and the life that we must live.

In the area of dogma, Christ reveals to us the mystery of the Holy Trinity. He teaches us that he himself is the saviour of mankind. He makes known to us that he founded the Catholic Church to bring all people to eternal salvation.

In the area of moral teaching, Christ gives us the Beatitudes as standards of His kingdom. He gives us the commandment of love, saying we should love even our enemies. He also teaches us to love the cross and self-denial.

In the area of worship, Christ teaches us the Our Father. He gives us the sacraments. He also teaches us that good prayer requires humility, forgiveness, trust, and perseverance.

Our dear Lord often made use of parables to teach divine truths. These parables may be divided into three classes: the parables of the kingdom of God (e.g. mustard seed, leaven, and hidden treasures), the parables of God’s mercy (lost sheep, prodigal son, and good shepherd), and moral parables (e.g. good Samaritan, marriage feast, and the talents).

Christ confirmed his teachings by his holiness, miracles, and prophecies.

The holiness of Christ is manifested in his practice of virtues. In his relations with God the Father, Christ practised the virtues of religion, prayer, obedience, and purity of intention. Christ practised charity towards his neighbour. He exercised personal virtues such as prudence, meekness, humility, patience, and mortification.

The Bible records Christ delivering seven possessed persons. He performs 10 miracles upon nature (e.g. changing water into wine, walking on water, two multiplications of loaves, and the transfiguration), 15 upon the sick, and three upon the dead (the daughter of Jairus, the son of the widow of Naim, and Lazarus).

Christ prophesied concerning his own person (death and resurrection), his disciples, Jerusalem, and the Church, and his prophecies were fulfilled.

 “He was teaching them as one having authority.” (Mt 7:29)

  

基督宣講天國道理

玫瑰經的光明三端是『基督宣講天國道理』。天主教教理說:「若翰被監禁後,耶穌來到加里肋亞,宣講天主的福音說:『時期已滿,天主的國臨近了,你們悔改,信從福音吧!』」(谷 1:15)。「基督為承行聖父的旨意,在世上揭示了天國」,如今,聖父的旨意是「提拔人類,分享天主的生命」。祂為進行此事,把人類聚集到祂的聖子、耶穌基督身邊。這個會眾就是教會,她在世上成了「天國的幼芽和開端」。  

『水』,『餅』和這『十字架』是現世基督公開傳教生活的一些重要的主題。

基督召叫了漁夫…西滿,安德肋,雅各伯和若望…作祂的門徒並轉變為『漁人的漁夫』。

基督告訴尼苛德摩說:『人除非由水和聖神而生,不能進天主的國。』(若3:5)祂對撒馬黎雅婦人說:『但誰若喝了我賜與他的水,他將永遠不渴;並且我賜給他的水,將在他內成為湧到永生的水泉。』(若4:14)

基督用五個餅奇蹟地食飽了五千人。後來祂說『我就是生命的食糧,到我這裏來的,永不會饑餓;信從我的,總不會渴。』(若6:35)

基督告誡宗徒們說:『你們應當謹慎, 提防法利塞人的酵母和黑落德的酵母。』(馬8:15)

基督三次預知祂的苦難,祂說:『誰若願意跟隨我,該棄絕自己,背著自己的十字架來跟隨我。 』(瑪竇16:24)

基督徒的道理可約分為教條,倫理教誨和欽崇。我主把這三條歸納為:『我是道路、真理、生命』(若14:6)。基督是真理、我們應該信靠,道路、我們要跟隨,和生命、我們賴以生存。

教義方面,基督啟示給我們聖三的奧秘。祂教導我們,祂自己是人類的救主。祂讓我們知道祂成立了天主教為全人類帶來永恆的救恩。

在倫理方面,基督給了我們真福八端作為祂王國的標準。祂給了我們愛的誡命,告訴我們愛及敵人。祂也教我們去愛十字架和棄絕自己。

在欽崇方面,基督教我們『天主經』。祂給我們種種聖事。祂教我們好的祈禱要能有謙遜,寬恕,信靠和不懈。

主耶穌屢屢以比諭教導我們神聖的道理。這些比諭可分三類:天國的比諭(例如芥末的種子,酵母和隱藏的寶藏),天主慈悲的比諭(迷失的羔羊,浪子回頭和善牧的故事)和倫理的比諭(例如慈善的撒瑪利亞人,婚宴和塔冷通的比諭)。

基督以祂的聖德,奇蹟和預言去肯定祂的教訓。

基督的聖德由祂實踐的各種德行中表達出來。祂向天父實踐了宗教、祈禱、服從和純正意向的德行。祂向近人實踐了仁愛之德。祂自己實踐了明智、温良、謙遜、和忍耐的德行。
 
聖經中記錄了耶穌曾經從七個附了魔的人身上驅逐魔鬼。行了十個自然界中的奇跡(例如:將水變成酒,兩次的增餅,顯示聖容),十五次治好疾病,三次使死者復活(會堂長的女兒,寡婦的兒子和拉匝錄)。
耶穌說了有關祂自己(死亡和復活)、祂的門徒、耶路撒泠和聖教會的預言。祂的預言都應驗了。
『衪教訓他們,正像有權威的人』(瑪竇7:29)。
