SUMMARY:Anniversary Celebration of the Shrine of Santo Niño
DESCRIPTION:We will be celebrating the Fourth Anniversary of the Opening and Dedication of the Santo Niño Shrine in St. Anthony Parish in Agassiz! Join us for daily rosary\, novena and Masses: \n\nOpening Salvo Mass \nThursday\, August 13\, 5:15 p.m.\nRosary\, Novena\, and Mass\nAugust 13-21\, 5:15 p.m.\nDedication Anniversary Mass \nSaturday\, August 22\, 3 p.m.\n\nThe devotion to the Santo Niño (the Holy Child Jesus) is one of the most prominent in the Philippines. It symbolizes the Filipino people’s deep faith and is celebrated with great fervor. The Santo Niño is seen as a protector and a reminder of the importance of family and community\, as emphasized by Pope Francis during his visit to the Philippines in 2015\, where he highlighted the significance of the Santo Niño in protecting families and promoting values of hope and joy. \nCome and give thanks with us as we honor the Santo Niño’s enduring presence in our lives. Let’s share in joy\, faith\, and fellowship as one community. \nThe celebration will be be held at the Shrine of Santo Niño in Agassiz\, which was built as a gift to the Archdiocese of Vancouver to create a permanent commemoration of the 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines. The Shrine is situated on the parish grounds of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. For more information\, please visit stoninoshrine.ca.
