The day before his 94th birthday, St. Joseph’s, Mission, parishioner Frank Teindl was preparing for a different celebration: setting up the gazebo and altar at Mission Heritage Park prior to the annual pilgrimage to Our Lady of Lourdes grotto.
Teindl has been a sacristan for more than two decades and is still active, as he demonstrated at the pilgrimage where he and his daughters helped set up for Mass.
