A workshop providing information on euthanasia and assisted suicide will be held at the John Paul II Pastoral Centre Jan. 30.

“Educating the public about physician-assisted suicide is essential; people need to know what it is, what it is not,” said Anastasia Pearse, executive director of National Campus Life Network.

“Before we educate the public, we must educate ourselves, so we can be effective advocates about the issue.”

“Our panel of professionals will review the current context we are working within, and share how we can address the situation with true compassion,” said Pearse. “We need to not be afraid to speak out about this issue! This means bringing the conversation to our spheres of influence.”

The presentation will include time for questions.

The workshop will run from 12:30-5 p.m. Jan. 30. Tickets, $10, are available online through www.rcav.org.
