Ukrainian Catholic bishop bids farewell to his flock

The Ukrainian Catholic community bid a fond farewell to Bishop Ken Nowakowski at Holy Eucharist Cathedral Feb. 29.

Bishop Nowakowski has been the shepherd of the Ukrainian Eparchy of New Westminster since 2007. This January, he received a new appointment as bishop of the Eparchy of the Holy Family in London, England.

“The years have truly gone by very quickly for me,” he said in a letter to the faithful. He asked for prayers as he moves to London in the near future.
