Not even the sweltering late-spring heat wave could keep families away from this year’s Family Fun Day.
Forty families took part in the Families of Hope jubilee celebration, which comes every three years. Complete with bouncy castles, a balloon artist, and soccer with the Men in Black soccer team, children were kept entertained throughout the day.
Dinner was provided by the Knights of Columbus with a classic barbecue.
The Fun Day marks the first stage in the archdiocese’s three-year family event cycle, which concluded last summer with a family camping trip in Deroche.
