The national March for Life Thursday will have a presence in the Fraser Valley as two Convoys for Life roll through Abbotsford and Chilliwack.
ARPA Canada, a Christian political advocacy organization, is organizing convoys in towns and cities across Canada and hopes the Fraser Valley events will “make a visible statement in our communities about the importance of protecting life, even though the March for Life in Victoria has been cancelled.”
Both convoys start at 4:30 p.m., and people are asked to gather at the starting points at 4:25 p.m.
The Abbotsford convoy will assemble in the parking lot of Abbotsford Canadian Reformed Church. From there, the convoy will turn right onto King Road, turn right down the King Connector, proceed north down McCallum Road, turn left onto South Fraser Way, turn right onto Clearbrook Road, turn left onto MacLure, turn right onto Blue Jay Street, right on Cardinal Avenue, left on Highstreet Access Road, turn around at the roundabout, and return along the same route.
The Chilliwack convoy will assemble in the parking lot Cottonwood Mall in front of the old Target that is currently under renovation. The convoy will turn right on Vedder Road, proceed down Vedder, turn around at the roundabout right before the Vedder crossing bridge, proceed back down Vedder, turn right on Young Road at Five Corners, turn right on Luckakuk Way, and arrive back at Cottonwood Mall.
