At just 15 years old, New Westminster actress and vocalist Elizabeth Irving has already received international acclaim.

The musical prodigy has been singing the Canadian and American national anthems at Canuck games since she was 10 years old, but her latest achievement is winning Best Performance in a Music Video from the 2019 Young Entertainer Awards in Los Angeles.

Her mother, Yolanda Irving, said Elizabeth "hopes to inspire other youth to continue to work hard at whatever their talents may be."

Irving sings in three choirs at her high school, St. Thomas More Collegiate, and has also sung at Vancouver Whitecaps games, the Calgary Stampede, in various youth cabarets, and at citizenship ceremonies for new Canadians. She was nominated in four categories at the Vancouver Joey Awards in 2018 and won Best Female Performance in a Recorded Song.

The musical performance that brought her to victory at the Young Entertainer Awards this year was this cover of Lady Gaga's "Is that Alright."
