Young track stars from Surrey took home the title as champions of this year's CISVA Cross Country Meet, beating out all other Catholic elementary school teams in the Lower Mainland Oct. 3.
But the teams from Star of the Sea School didn't just come in first, according to their athletic director, Dorina Gaspar. They also broke records when they came in with the lowest score ever in CISVA history.
The championships were held at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby.
