On Jan. 21, 1920, Jacinta Marto left Fatima for the hospital in Lisbon. Her cousin Lucia Santos recalled the last farewell: "The time for her to go to Lisbon finally arrived. The farewell cut me to the quick. She hugged my neck for a long time and said crying, "We shall never meet again. Pray for me a lot until I go to heaven, and afterwards I will pray a lot for you. Never tell anybody the secret even if they kill you. Love Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary a great deal and make many sacrifices for sinners."
Before Jacinta was admitted to the hospital, she stayed in the Orphanage of Our Lady of Miracles for a few days. The orphanage was conducted by Mother Maria da Purificacao Godinho, who took notes on the sayings of Jacinta:
"Our Lady said that there are many wars and discords in the world. Wars are only punishments for the sins of the world. Our Lady cannot stay the arm of Her Beloved Son upon the world anymore. It is necessary to do penance. If the people amend themselves, Our Lord shall still come to the aid of the world. If they do not amend themselves, punishment shall come."
"My dear Mother, the sins that bring most souls to hell are the sins of the flesh. Certain fashions are going to be introduced which will offend Our Lord very much. Those who serve God should not follow these fashions. The Church has no fashions; Our Lord is always the same. The sins of the world are too great. If only people knew what eternity is, they would do everything to change their lives. People lose their souls because they do not think about the death of Our Lord and do not do penance."
"My good Mother, do not give yourself to immodest clothes. Run away from riches. Love holy poverty and silence very much. Be very charitable even with those who are unkind. Never criticize others and avoid those who do. Be very patient, for patience brings us to heaven. Mortifications and sacrifices please Our Lord a great deal."
"Confession is a sacrament of mercy. That is why people should approach the confessional with confidence and joy. Without confession, there is no salvation."
"The Mother of God wants a larger number of virgin souls to bind themselves to her by the vow of chastity. I would enter a convent with great joy but my joy is greater because I am going to heaven. To be a religious, one has to be very pure in soul and in body."
On Feb. 2, Jacinta was admitted to the hospital. She was very saddened by the worldliness of the visitors, the women dressed in fashionable clothes, often with low-cut dresses. Jacinta said, "What is it all for? If they only knew what eternity is."
On Feb. 10, Jacinta was operated. The operation caused Jacinta great sufferings. She prayed to Jesus: "Now you can convert many sinners, for I suffer a great deal, my Jesus."
Four days before her death, Jacinta said, "I am not complaining any more. Our Lady has appeared again and said that she was coming for me soon. She took all my pains away."
On Feb. 20, at around six in the evening, Jacinta said she was not feeling well and wanted to receive the last rites. A priest heard her confession and promised to bring her Holy Communion in the morning. Jacinta said that she was to die shortly and asked the priest to bring her Holy Communion immediately, but the priest could see no reason for alarm. Jacinta died that evening at 10:30 pm. In 1935, when the coffin was opened, the body of Jacinta was found to be incorrupt.

雅仙達進入永生
1920年1月21日，雅仙達.瑪圖被送到里斯本一所醫院。她的表姐路濟亞.珊桃詩憶述最後送別的一刻：「要把她送到里斯本的醫院時刻，終於來臨。我很快為這次的告別感到異常傷痛。她緊緊良久地抱著我的脖子，哭說『我們將不會再見面了！你多為我祈禱，直至我抵達天堂；我在天堂時，也會多為你祈禱。即使面對死亡，你都不要向人透露那些秘密。熱愛耶穌和聖母無玷聖心吧。多為罪人便犧牲補贖。』」
被送往醫院前，雅仙達在聖蹟聖母孤兒院暫住幾天。院長瑪利亞.葛滇荷按雅仙達所說，作了以下紀錄：「聖母說世界會有很多爭執和戰爭，而戰爭實在是施予世界的懲罰。聖母對她聖子懲罰世界的手，再無力作出阻止，世界必須作補贖。如果世人改過，吾主仍會伸出援手。如果世人不知悔改，懲罰將會來到。」
「情慾的罪使最多人進入地獄。有些將被引入的時尚，將嚴峻地干犯吾主。侍奉天主的人，不應跟隨那些時尚。聖教沒有時尚；吾主始終如一。世界的罪孽實在太大了！如果世人明白永恆是什麼的一回事，肯定他們會願意做任何事去改變自己的生活。世人失落靈魂，因為他們沒有想想吾主的聖死，亦不做補贖。」
「不要讓你自己穿不端莊的衣著。遠離財富。要多愛慕神貧和靜默。要有愛心，甚至對不友善的人亦要有愛心。不要批評別人，並遠離批評別人的人。要非常忍耐，蓋含忍能帶我們進入天國。克苦和犧牲能十分鍾悅吾主。」
「告解是慈悲的聖事；所以世人要帶著信心和喜悅去告解亭。沒有修和聖事，沒有得救。」
「天主之母想有更多童貞靈魂藉貞潔愿和她聯結一起。我若進入修院，我會感到很大的喜樂；但我的喜樂是更大的，因為我將到天堂去。作為一位會士，需要在心靈和身體上非常潔淨。」
2月2日，雅仙達被送到醫院。她看到探訪她的人的世俗化，感到十分難過；女士們穿著時尚的服裝。雅仙達說：「那是為了什麼？若她們明白永恆是什麼就好啊！」
2月10日，雅仙達接受手術，卻帶給她極大苦痛。她向耶穌說：「我的耶穌，你現在可以歸化很多罪人了，因為我受了很大的苦。」
離世前四天，雅仙達說：「我不再會埋怨。聖母再給我顯現，稱她很快會為我而來。她拿走我的全部痛楚。」
2月20日約黃昏六時，雅仙達感到很不舒服，要求領受病人聖事。神父來了，聽了她的告解，答應她次晨給她送聖體；但雅仙達謂她會很快死去，請神父立即給她送聖體，神父卻又以為然，看沒有逼切的需要。當天晚上約十時三十分，雅仙達溘然長逝。1935年開棺時，人們發現雅仙達的遺體，還沒有腐朽。
