VANCOUVER—Four Missionaries of Charity hosted a celebration in honour of their founder's first feast day at Corpus Christi Parish Sept. 5. Mother Teresa, or St. Teresa of Calcutta, was canonized in 2016 and her feast day was set for Sept. 5, the day of her death in 1997.

Local sisters celebrated this year's feast day with Mass and a free meal. They said the event was "simple, because Mother Teresa was simple."

Sister Xaviera Bilung, MC, local superior, thanks the community for praying with them.
