The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is excited to put their new van to good use.
The charity runs two Value Shoppes (thrift stores) in Vancouver. Funds from gently used household goods, clothing, and books sold there are used to support local initiatives for the poor and homeless.
The society's Samm Forristall says the new van will be used to pick up donated goods, make furniture deliveries and, by extension, help neighbours in need.
