Kamloops bishop Joseph Nguyen was ordained a priest in Vancouver May 30, 1992. Twenty-five years later, he is a Canadian bishop and much-loved pastor.

"I feel very grateful to everything that I have received from the Lord," he said. "I always look back with gratitude and look forward with hope and joy."

He made a short visit from B.C.'s interior to the Lower Mainland July 15-16. St. Matthew's Parish hosted a celebration for his 25th anniversary July 16.
