About 750 evangelizers are expected to flock to a convention centre in Ottawa May 4 for the annual New Evangelization Summit, but they won’t be the only ones participating.

Catholics across Canada and the U.S. will get a chance tune in to the international conference via 54 host sites across North America, adding up to an expected 5,000 participants seeking inspiration, encouragement, and advice on evangelism.

Three of those sites are in the Lower Mainland: St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Vancouver, Star of the Sea Parish in Surrey, and St. Luke’s Parish in Maple Ridge. (Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in New Westminster has since been added to the list of parishes.) The summit will begin at 8 a.m. and close at 4:30 p.m. across all three sites. Registration is free this year.
