About this event

How can parents and other trusted adults talk about sexuality with children and teens in developmentally appropriate ways while remaining faithful to Catholic teaching?

In this workshop, parents, educators, caregivers, and youth ministers of Catholic children aged 0-18 will gain practical tools for navigating conversations about human sexuality. Facilitated by Dr. Julia Sadusky, a Catholic psychologist specializing in sexuality, sexual and gender development, and trauma-informed care, the workshop will explore:

  • Introducing accurate medical terms for anatomy
  • Boundaries and exploratory play
  • Pubertal changes and sexual behaviours
  • Pornography and masturbation
  • LGBT+ experiences
  • Technology use

All topics will be approached through a faithfully Catholic lens.

Whether you did not receive much guidance on how to talk about sexuality with children or simply want to strengthen your skills, this workshop offers practical guidance and an opportunity to ask questions.

Why Attend This Workshop

  • Feel more prepared and confident discussing sensitive topics with children and teens
  • Learn practical ways to bring a faithfully Catholic perspective to conversations about sexuality
  • Ask questions during the live Q&A with Dr. Sadusky
